11–12 December 2021 Online workshop for everyone with Martin Majoor
Typoclass online workshops are for everyone who loves letters. This first edition marks the beginning of a series of exciting trainings with remarkable professionals in the field.
Martin Majoor is a Dutch type designer and book typographer. Around 1990 he designed the award-winning typefaces Scala and Scala Sans. Several of his book designs have been given best book design awards.
Martin also designed the typefaces Telefont, Seria, and Nexus. The Questa typeface, designed with Jos Buivenga, ranked second on a list of the 50 most noteworthy font releases of 2014.
Martin has taught typography at several art schools and has given lectures/workshops around the world. He has written articles for many magazines including page, 2+3d, and eye, as well as contributing to several books on typography.
A practical workshop, especially created to suit all levels, for anyone interested in learning the fundamental principles of type design. Even if you are an experienced designer, there will certainly be something to discover for yourself and improve your skills through the immediate guidance of Martin Majoor.
This workshop is a specific trademark of Martin. In 2018 it was held in Bozhentsi type camp in Bulgaria for five days. Now you have the opportunity to participate in its concentrated and specially adapted version, which will be held online.
You can look at the results achieved by the participants from the previous edition of the workshop this year:
